Today I recommend this 25min video with an Interview to Rich Hurrey (2006), from Pixar, a nice training video for 3d modeling beginners.

This interview was conducted for Siggraph 2006. Brad and Rich discuss his career path up to Pixar as well as some in depth discussion of hard surface modeling with subdivision surfaces.

Introduction to High Definition and Blu-Ray authoring

Monday, September 29th, 2008

I’ve always been a fan of audio and video compressing, codecs, technologies, etc… always trying to get the best possible AV quality in less space, but now, as spending so many weeks and months working, coding and taking pictures, I’ve forgotten a little bit all of this.

That’s why doing some search, I’ve found Iniciación a la HD (alta definición) y a la autoría Blu-Ray (in Spanish) from the videoedicion.org blog (a site with excelent articles and documentation about Video editting)

A great article where the author explains lots of things about High Definition and Blu-Ray technology, a must-read for everyone interested in this world.
