New Google Mobile App for iPhone, woow!

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Today I tried the new version of Google Mobile App for iPhone, and I was surprised with the new voice search feature… just start the application, put the phone on your ear and speak, with the help of the proximity sensor the iPhone knows that you are speaking and recognizes your voice, in my first try the feature worked perfectly!

BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) with iTunes 8 and Windows Vista

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Just updated my iPhone 3G with the new 2.1 firmware and installed iTunes 8 on my Sony VAIO laptop, I have this Sony VAIO for 6 months and this is the first time I see a Blue Screen of Death just after the first iPhone sync with this new firmware.

The truth is that there is a compatibility problem with the new iTunes version, but Apple has released a revised version that solves the problem, you can download it here.

First, disconnect your iPod/iPhone from your PC, then uninstall iTunes 8 and Apple Mobile Device and then, reinstall the recently downloaded iTunes from Apple.

It seems that the problem is caused by a new driver that Apple has replaced with the old iTunes 7.7 version.

AppStore applications close unexpectedly just after opening on the iPhone 3G

Friday, August 8th, 2008

That is an another strange thing I have experienced today, and I think that i’m not the only one…

This morning I was listening to a song on my car radio and I wanted to use Shazam to recognize the title and author, then I opened the application, and 2 seconds later… was shut down automatically, so I tried again and again and did the same thing, I was not able to run it, nor any application purchased in the AppStore, and even with a hard-reset!

The solution? reinstalling again all the apps, and then, it worked.
