Just updated my iPhone 3G with the new 2.1 firmware and installed iTunes 8 on my Sony VAIO laptop, I have this Sony VAIO for 6 months and this is the first time I see a Blue Screen of Death just after the first iPhone sync with this new firmware.
The truth is that there is a compatibility problem with the new iTunes version, but Apple has released a revised version that solves the problem, you can download it here.
First, disconnect your iPod/iPhone from your PC, then uninstall iTunes 8 and Apple Mobile Device and then, reinstall the recently downloaded iTunes from Apple.
It seems that the problem is caused by a new driver that Apple has replaced with the old iTunes 7.7 version.

The hackers did not arrived at the level of the LHC control, but they where "one step away"
Here is a screen capture of the attack (click to see a large version)

This is my new toy purchased this morning, a remote control for my Canon EOS 400D, the RC-5.
My first impression was pretty good, is very small (see image), comes with a battery and the shot angle is 360º, at least at a distance of 1m.
The price is 18-21 EUR, so it's cheap and a must-have for every photographer!

I've discovered this new physically-based unbiased render engine, it looks really nice and it is free for non-commercial use.
As more other features, it includes an integrated network renderer, sub-surface scattering, HDR support,a physically based sky and sunlight model and a physical camera.
Compatible for Windows and Linux, and with available exporter tools for Blender, 3dsMax, Cinema 4D, Sketchup, XSI, Maya and Houdini

I have recently been accepted as a contributor in iStockphoto, a website where you can find and buy royalty free stock photography :)
The first thing you have to do if you are interested in being a contributor and earn money for every sell, is to pass a first question test, and then, submit some samples of your work to see if your images are technically and commercially ready to sell.
To pass the first test, you have to read some articles and documentation about copyright and quality of the images, then the images you have to upload should look perfectly clean and sharp viewed at 100%, this is a very important thing.
There are some more interesting photo royalty free websites like Fotolia, Dreamstime or Bigstockphoto.
