It's supposedly made with Maya (as seen in YouTube tags), and don't know what render engine they used but it looks all very clean and the 720p quality is simply amazing, watch it in HD.

This snapshot is from Disney A-Z’s official supplement, and as you can see they put a Partly Cloudy animated short film, directed by Peter Sohn (the voice of Emile in Ratatouille) and most important thing, we know that is gonna be released with Up movie!

Up release date is 12 June 2009 in Spain (as I can see in IMDB) and 29 May in USA, so we are gonna stay tunned for this upcoming (and great, as always) new short film by Pixar.
