Google introduces Page Speed, a new and a great utility to measure and optimize your website load time.

It's an addon integrated with the well known Firebug for FireFox, and it's a tool that Google used internally to improve the speed of their web pages, now it's public, open-source, and everyone can download it from here

Cheatsheet for Plone developers

I've always been a fan of cheatsheets, and today a coworker sent us a link to an interesting Plone product he has found, collective.cheatsheets

Once the product is installed, you can append @@cs to your browser and the cheatsheet will appear, anyway you can always download the PDF version.

The new look of Plone.org

For those not familiar with Plone, it's a very nice open source CMS running over Zope, here is a paste from the official website, I think it's a great initial description:

Plone is among the top 2% of all open source projects worldwide, with 200 core developers and more than 300 solution providers in 57 countries. The project has been actively developed since 2001, is available in more than 40 languages, and has the best security track record of any major CMS.
It is owned by the Plone Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and is available for all major operating systems.

Well, for almost 8 years this official website had the same design, in my opinion a very useful one but not so much impressive for a first good impression...
